It’s nice to
meet you.
I’m Katie Reed Yeilding, and I’m so glad you’re here. It is an honor and a privilege to support children and families in the Atlanta area through counseling services. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia (#011442) and a graduate of Auburn University, where I earned my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have experience working with children ages 3 and up in a variety of settings, including community mental health centers, hospitals, schools, and private practice.
I have specialized training in supporting young children, individuals with ADHD and high-functioning autism, attachment disorders, trauma, life and family transitions, anxiety disorders, defiance, and depression. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based approach for treating trauma. I also have additional training in Playful EMDR, which allows me to use EMDR techniques in a developmentally appropriate, engaging way with young children.
As a mother of two young children, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to my work. I am passionate about early intervention and believe it lays the foundation for lifelong growth and resilience. I provide individual counseling, play therapy for children ages 3 and up, therapy for teens and young adults, and parent coaching. I look forward to partnering with you to help you or your child achieve meaningful progress and healing.
